Carolina Amoretti is not only the other half of the formula that makes Tothem the inspiring and hypnotic fashion brand that it is; she also is an artistic revolution in her own right. Nurturing her various artistic talents and carrying out projects that often contain one or more creative directions, Carolina develops a very strong passion for photography throughout the years.
In 2010, the creative talent lab Fabrica – Benetton’s communication research centre where young artists have the chance to work on innovative projects in design, music, film and photography – allows Carolina to widen her creative horizons even further. Experimenting a variety of techniques, taking part in video productions and producing digital content for Benetton, she continues to grow as a photographer and refines her skills as a digital visual artist.
In 2012, among a variety of other creative projects, Carolina is invited to collaborate with Essen Taste Magazine for an online photographic research on the visual culture and lifestyle of food then exhibited at Milan’s Modern Art and Design Museum: la Triennale.
In parallel, Carolina keeps up her personal projects and comes up with the Totem picture project born from the wish to “create paintings and mysterious entities and amulets, assembling them with everyday objects and thus making works of art”.
